Fiona Neal was born in Providence, Rhode Island. She graduated from the University of Rhode Island Phi Beta Kappa with a degree in psychology. She moved to South Carolina in 1980 and earned a master's degree in counseling, and worked as a licensed professional counselor for several years.

Fiona is married to her real-life hero, Luther. They have three grown daughters. They also have a beagle, Russell, and a mixed-breed hound, Socks. Fiona also loves cats and rabbits.

Fiona has always wanted to write, so one day she decided that the time was now, She sat at her computer and began. Since then she has written, The Rose in the Mist, The Flame on the Moor, a Scottish historical, Rx for Love, and A Passion for Roses, Seducing Brodie MacKay, Beauty and the Beast, The Mist Rider, Highland Heat, Master of Mistmere, and Holiday Heat.

Her love of history and research plus trips to England and Scotland helped her efforts, and she hopes they will give her work an authentic flavor.

Fiona loves to visit and write about the British Isles and her native New England. Nevertheless, she also loves the mountains of western North Carolina, as well. She has set her books in those locations.

She hopes to continue to write for many years. Having written historical, contemporary, and time-travel novels, she would like to write a futuristic next.
